Job Brief
As an Automatic Pilot Mechanic, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and repair of avionics systems, including radar, radio, navigation, and missile control systems in aircraft and space vehicles. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and test avionics equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in automated flight control systems and related avionics.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to maintain optimal performance and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and preventative inspections on electronic systems.
- Document all repairs, modifications, and inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions for system enhancements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance personnel.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in avionics systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an aviation maintenance technician program preferred.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent licensure.
- Proven experience working with avionics systems in commercial or military aviation.
- Strong understanding of electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including FAA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
