Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of athletic equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Provide personal items to patrons or customers in locker rooms, dressing rooms, or coatrooms.
- Coordinate the distribution and collection of athletic gear for teams and individual athletes.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards.
- Assist in the procurement of new equipment and negotiate with vendors for pricing and delivery.
- Develop and implement inventory tracking systems to streamline operations.
- Train staff and athletes on the proper use and care of athletic equipment.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to assess equipment needs and provide recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Athletic Equipment Manager or in a similar role within the sports industry.
- Strong knowledge of various athletic equipment types and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic accounting principles.
- Certification in sports management or a related field is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor as required.
