Job Brief

As a Specialty Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop innovative menu items that align with seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
  • Order and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Keep detailed records of food costs, menu pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and handling.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to improve kitchen operations and efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Specialty Cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
