Job Brief
The Photo Cartographer is responsible for researching, studying, and preparing maps and spatial data in digital or graphic formats for various purposes, including legal, social, political, educational, and design. This role requires a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the ability to analyze and interpret geographic information from sources such as geodetic surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in data visualization, algorithm design, and user interface development for mapping systems.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze geographic data to create accurate and visually appealing maps.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to manage and manipulate spatial data.
- Design and implement algorithms and data structures for effective mapping solutions.
- Interpret and integrate data from geodetic surveys, aerial imagery, and satellite sources.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartography, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and mapping tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and visualization.
- Familiarity with remote sensing technologies and photogrammetry.
- Experience in algorithm design and user interface development for GIS applications.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly and effectively.
