Job Brief
As a Bobtailer, you will be responsible for driving a truck or vehicle over established routes to deliver goods, including food products and commercial items. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage payments and inventory at delivery points. Responsibilities
- Drive trucks or vehicles over assigned routes to deliver goods and services efficiently.
- Load and unload products at delivery sites, ensuring accurate and timely distribution.
- Take orders and handle payment transactions at point of delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records for inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns during deliveries.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies during transportation.
- Stock merchandise at delivery locations as needed, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in delivery driving or related transportation roles.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer service.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics software and delivery tracking systems is advantageous.
