Job Brief
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Route Sales Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a truck or vehicle over established routes to sell and deliver goods, primarily food products, to various clients, including restaurants. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong sales aptitude, and the ability to manage inventory and collect payments. Experience in route sales or distribution is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive a vehicle along designated routes to sell and deliver goods to customers.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Take orders from customers and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate sales records.
- Stock and organize merchandise at customer locations to ensure optimal product presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to management.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations while operating the vehicle.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or business is a plus.
- Proven experience in route sales, delivery, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management and sales software is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of products as needed.
