Job Brief
The AOC Plans Guidance Apportionment and Targeting Officer Chief is responsible for managing critical operations related to communications, detection, and weapons systems that are vital for controlling air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires extensive experience in military operations and emergency planning, as well as exceptional skills in coordination and technical analysis. The ideal candidate will ensure effective communication links between military forces, implement emergency response plans, and provide strategic guidance on operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operation of communication systems to ensure seamless connectivity between air, ground, and naval forces.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive emergency plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to enhance operational efficiency during crises.
- Evaluate command center information to determine the need for high-level military and government reporting.
- Operate and manage surveillance and detection systems to maintain situational awareness.
- Provide technical information and expert advice on military capabilities and operational readiness.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure precision and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and mission planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Defense Studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military operations or defense planning.
- Strong understanding of military communication systems and emergency response protocols.
- Proven experience in managing surveillance and detection technologies.
- Technical proficiency in weapons systems, targeting, and launch operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of coordinating with multiple agencies and teams.
- Relevant certifications in military operations or emergency management are a plus.
