Job Brief
The Store Stocker is responsible for efficiently receiving, storing, and issuing merchandise and materials within a retail environment. Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise and materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store products in designated areas within the stockroom and sales floor.
- Restock shelves, racks, and displays to maintain optimal product presentation and availability.
- Utilize power equipment, as necessary, to efficiently move and manage stock.
- Assist in setting up sales displays and promotional signage to enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and sales area.
- Provide assistance to customers as needed, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in retail or stock management preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and pricing.
- Ability to operate power equipment safely and effectively, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and retail POS systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock levels and product placement.
