The Unexploded Ordnance Quality Control Worker is responsible for ensuring the safe handling, storage, and detonation of explosives used in demolition and excavation projects. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of explosives and munitions to assess quality and safety standards.
  • Place and detonate explosives to demolish structures or to loosen, remove, or displace earth, rock, or other materials.
  • Implement specialized handling procedures for storage and transportation of explosives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and accounting for explosives inventory and usage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with explosives.
  • Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Provide training and guidance on safe explosive handling practices to other personnel.
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency response planning related to unexploded ordnance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in explosives handling and safety preferred.
  • Proven experience in a quality control role within the explosives or demolition industry.
