Job Brief
As a Trench Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for laying pipes for storm and sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Responsibilities
- Excavate trenches or culverts as per project specifications and safety standards.
- Lay pipes for storm and sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains with precision.
- Grade trenches to ensure proper drainage and alignment of pipes.
- Position and secure pipes, ensuring proper sealing of joints to prevent leaks.
- Collaborate with construction teams and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of trench sites to maintain safety and compliance.
- Operate heavy machinery and tools, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Trench Pipe Layer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of pipe laying techniques and trench safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with operating construction equipment such as excavators and trenchers.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Certification in OSHA safety protocols preferred.
