Job Brief

We are seeking a talented Theater Company Producer to oversee the production process of stage, television, radio, video, or film projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making key creative decisions, including script interpretation, casting, set design, sound, special effects, and choreography. This role requires a strong background in the performing arts and a proven track record of successful production management. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential to guide teams and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality productions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of production from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with artistic vision and budget constraints.
  • Interpret scripts and develop creative concepts, collaborating with directors, writers, and designers.
  • Select and audition actors, presenters, and other talent to ensure the right fit for each production.
  • Coordinate set design, sound, lighting, and special effects to create immersive environments.
  • Manage production schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with marketing and publicity teams to promote productions and increase audience engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the production process.
  • Facilitate rehearsals and oversee performances, providing direction and feedback to cast and crew.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Film Production, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Producer or in a similar role within the theater or entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools relevant to production.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Knowledge of copyright laws and licensing agreements related to productions.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by production schedules.
