Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety features into product designs and operational practices.
  • Perform risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare detailed safety reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and audits.
  • Investigate safety incidents and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a System Safety Engineer or in a similar role within industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) are a plus.
  • Proficient in safety management software and tools.
