Job Brief

As a Research Archaeologist, you will study the origin, development, and behavior of human cultures through the systematic recovery and analysis of material evidence, including tools, pottery, and artifacts. This role involves conducting fieldwork, analyzing findings, and contributing to the understanding of historical customs and living habits of past civilizations. Candidates should possess a strong background in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field, with experience in excavation techniques, data analysis, and research methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field research and archaeological excavations to recover artifacts and analyze historical sites.
  • Utilize advanced archaeological methods and technologies to document findings and enhance research accuracy.
  • Analyze material evidence and artifacts to interpret cultural practices and historical timelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to convey research findings to academic and public audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in archaeological fieldwork and research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and data analysis software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
