Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Power Distribution Engineer to research, design, develop, and oversee the installation of electrical power systems and components for diverse applications, including commercial, industrial, military, and scientific sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, significant experience in power distribution systems, and exceptional problem-solving skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical infrastructure while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze electrical power distribution systems to meet project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for power distribution projects.
- Develop and implement testing procedures for electrical equipment and systems.
- Supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate power distribution solutions into larger engineering projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for power distribution systems in the field.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting power distribution engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in power distribution engineering, including design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Proficiency in using engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, PSS/E).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
