Job Brief
The Potato Chip Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for operating and tending to packaging machinery that prepares potato chips for distribution. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor potato chip packaging machines to ensure optimal functioning and product quality.
- Set up machinery for production runs, including adjustments for different chip sizes and packaging types.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs of packaging processes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and improve efficiency.
- Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Assist in training new operators on packaging machinery and safety protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus.
- Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably in food packaging or similar industries.
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with industrial machinery.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
