Job Brief
As a Tire Mounter, you will be responsible for the repair and replacement of tires for various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance for our clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should possess hands-on experience in tire mounting, balancing, and repair, along with strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Remove and install tires on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation, providing recommendations for replacements as needed.
- Balance tires and align wheels to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for tire mounting and repair tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and educating them on tire maintenance.
- Document tire service and repair activities accurately for inventory and billing purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tire technology and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive technology is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Tire Mounter or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with tire mounting and balancing equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks with physical stamina.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in tire service operations.
- Certifications in tire repair and mounting are preferred but not mandatory.
