Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and implement tailored rehabilitative programs for children. This role involves improving mobility, relieving pain, enhancing strength, and correcting disabling conditions resulting from injury or illness. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for helping children achieve their developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to evaluate mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices to enhance patient rehabilitation.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and techniques to facilitate ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators, to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on the latest pediatric rehabilitation techniques and advancements in the field.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
