Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Neon Tube Bender to join our creative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for molding, shaping, and bending neon tubes to create high-quality illuminated signage and decorative lighting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of glass manipulation techniques, demonstrate precision in their work, and have experience with various materials used in the production of neon lighting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to bend and shape neon tubes accurately.
- Interpret design specifications and technical drawings to create custom neon installations.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop innovative neon lighting solutions.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to industry safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on bending equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in neon production techniques.
- Train and mentor junior staff in neon tube bending techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Neon Tube Bender or in a related glassworking role.
- Strong knowledge of glass bending techniques and neon lighting applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in glass manipulation.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- A degree or certification in glassblowing, neon technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
