Job Brief
The Neighborhood Service Center Director is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating comprehensive social service programs and community outreach initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of social service programs and community outreach initiatives.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to funding guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits.
- Supervise and mentor a team of social workers, counselors, and probation officers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Coordinate community outreach efforts to promote program awareness and engagement among residents.
- Assess community needs and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary for continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, demonstrating program outcomes and future initiatives.
- Foster relationships with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in social services management or community program development.
- Proven track record in budget management and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience in supervising diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of social service regulations, funding sources, and community resources.
- Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation techniques.
- Certification in relevant social work or community service frameworks is a plus.
