Job Brief

As a Missile Technician, you will play a critical role in the operation, maintenance, and management of missile systems and associated weaponry. Primary responsibilities include targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced missile systems to ensure operational readiness in combat scenarios. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in missile technology, hands-on experience with weapon systems, and proficiency in conducting preventive maintenance and inspections. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, target, and fire missile systems to engage enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels effectively.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on missiles, torpedoes, and related weapon systems to ensure functionality.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of ammunition and missile systems to adhere to safety and operational standards.
  • Establish and maintain radio and wire communications to coordinate with team members during operations.
  • Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to execute missions accurately.
  • Store and handle ammunition and missiles safely in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Document maintenance and operational activities accurately to maintain records of weapon system readiness.
  • Participate in training exercises to enhance skills and knowledge related to missile technology and tactics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; military training in missile technology or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working with missile systems, torpedoes, or artillery equipment.
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  • Familiarity with weapons targeting and firing systems, including computer-based launch systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions during operations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other military personnel.
  • Current certification in handling and storing ammunition and explosives preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance and background checks as required by military standards.
