Job Brief
The Gunner’s Mate M (Missiles) is responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced missile systems to neutralize enemy threats, including aircraft and naval vessels. Responsibilities
- Target and fire missile systems to engage enemy positions effectively.
- Maintain and conduct routine inspections on missile launchers and related equipment.
- Store, handle, and manage ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes according to safety regulations.
- Establish and maintain radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure precision strikes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services on missile systems and equipment.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance operational skills and readiness.
- Collaborate with other military personnel to improve tactical operations and strategies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery or missile systems preferred.
- Proven experience operating missile systems or similar weaponry in a military environment.
- Technical proficiency in weapons targeting and communication systems.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to ammunition handling.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and certification as required.
- Valid military security clearance may be required based on role location.
