Job Brief
The Mineral Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and determining property boundaries to provide essential data regarding land features. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed land surveys to establish property boundaries and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to gather and analyze data on land features.
- Prepare accurate survey reports, maps, and documentation for engineering and construction projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to support project planning and execution.
- Assess and evaluate land properties for mining and development potential.
- Maintain detailed records of survey data and findings for future reference.
- Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during surveying operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Professional licensure as a Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred or in progress.
- Proven experience in mineral surveying or related surveying fields.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for data evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present survey findings to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use regulations.
