Job Brief

The Mineral Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and determining property boundaries to provide essential data regarding land features. This role requires expertise in assessing the shape, contour, elevation, and location of land for various applications such as engineering, mining, construction, and land evaluation. Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed land surveys to establish property boundaries and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to gather and analyze data on land features.
  • Prepare accurate survey reports, maps, and documentation for engineering and construction projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to support project planning and execution.
  • Assess and evaluate land properties for mining and development potential.
  • Maintain detailed records of survey data and findings for future reference.
  • Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and industry best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during surveying operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure as a Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred or in progress.
  • Proven experience in mineral surveying or related surveying fields.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for data evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present survey findings to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use regulations.
