Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Metal Plater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending plating machines to coat metal or plastic products with materials such as chromium, zinc, copper, cadmium, or nickel. This role requires a strong understanding of plating processes and the ability to ensure high-quality finishes while meeting production deadlines. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate plating machines for various coating processes.
- Operate plating equipment to apply coatings on metal and plastic products.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal plating quality.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain equipment and workspace cleanliness to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of coatings applied.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve plating techniques.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards during operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metal plating is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Metal Plater or similar role in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of plating techniques and chemical processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
