Job Brief
As a Journey Level Plasterer, you will apply a variety of plastering materials, including interior and exterior plaster, cement, and stucco, to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. This role requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in plastering, proficiency in setting ornamental plaster, and a keen eye for detail. You will work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Apply interior and exterior plastering materials, ensuring smooth and even surfaces.
- Mix and prepare plaster, cement, and stucco according to specifications.
- Set ornamental plaster features, including cornices and moldings, with precision.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment for optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople to meet project timelines and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform surface preparation, including cleaning and applying bonding agents.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding project details.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience as a plasterer or in a related field.
- Proficiency in applying various plastering techniques and materials.
- Experience with ornamental plastering and setting intricate designs.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
