Job Brief
As a Network Developer, you will design and implement robust computer and information networks, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, and extranets. This role requires expertise in network modeling, analysis, and planning to assess capacity needs for network infrastructures. You will also be responsible for developing network and computer security measures and researching hardware and software solutions to enhance data communication efficiency. Responsibilities
- Design and implement LAN, WAN, and other data communications networks to meet organizational needs.
- Conduct network modeling and capacity analysis to optimize network performance.
- Develop and enforce network security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Research and recommend appropriate network and data communication hardware and software solutions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network systems with existing infrastructure.
- Document network configurations and updates for compliance and future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security principles.
- Proficiency in network design tools and performance monitoring software.
- Experience with firewall configurations and network security measures.
- Familiarity with data communication hardware and software solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
