Job Brief
The In Flight Refueling Craftsman plays a critical role in executing successful combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. This position requires a skilled professional who can perform in-flight duties, operate aircraft communications and detection equipment, and manage in-flight refueling systems. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of aviation safety protocols, technical equipment maintenance, and emergency procedures, along with the ability to compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers and cargo.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aircraft in-flight refueling systems to ensure mission readiness.
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment for operational efficiency.
- Establish satellite linkages and manage communications to support mission objectives.
- Implement jamming techniques to disrupt enemy communications as required.
- Execute aircraft safety and emergency procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and special equipment.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops in accordance with mission specifications.
- Operate and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems to enhance mission effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aircraft operations, specifically in flight refueling roles.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft communications and detection systems.
- Familiarity with aviation safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
- Strong technical skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Certification in aircraft operation and emergency management preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent analytical skills for computing weight and balance calculations.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with crew members and mission command.
