Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and hire seasonal or temporary agricultural laborers for harvesting operations.
- Coordinate and manage daily harvesting schedules to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee the transportation, housing, and meal provision for seasonal workers to ensure their well-being.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices to minimize workplace hazards during harvesting.
- Monitor and evaluate worker performance, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, production output, and compliance with agricultural regulations.
- Collaborate with farm management to align harvesting strategies with overall agricultural goals.
- Address any labor disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience in agricultural operations or as a harvesting contractor.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage seasonal labor effectively.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, crop types, and harvesting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations related to agricultural employment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to work sites.
- First Aid certification and knowledge of safety practices is a plus.
