Job Brief
The Geophysical Manager leads and oversees geophysical research and exploration activities, ensuring the integration of life sciences and physical sciences into the project workflow. This role is responsible for directing teams in data collection, analysis, and interpretation of geophysical data, while also managing project timelines and budgets. Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate geophysical exploration activities to support resource development and environmental assessments.
- Manage and supervise teams of geophysicists and technicians in data acquisition and interpretation processes.
- Develop and implement innovative geophysical methods and technologies to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze geophysical data and prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout geophysical operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists and engineers, to support multidisciplinary project goals.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Stay current with advancements in geophysical research and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geophysical management or a similar leadership role.
- Proficiency in geophysical software and tools for data acquisition and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards related to geophysical operations.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PG, CPG) are a plus.
