Job Brief
As a Gas Turbine Assembler, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and rebuilding high-performance gas turbines and related machinery used in various industries, including construction, extraction, textiles, and paper manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Assemble and test gas turbine components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to execute assembly tasks accurately.
- Utilize hand and power tools to assemble components while adhering to industry safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of assembled turbines to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement design improvements and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including parts used, assembly times, and quality checks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency and product quality.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical assembly or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in gas turbine assembly, mechanical assembly, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering principles, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
