Job Brief
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality, urgent medical care to patients in emergency settings. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health problems and needs promptly in high-pressure situations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and medical history consistently.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Provide case management services, ensuring continuity of care for patients post-discharge.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license or registration as an RN in the respective state.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in emergency nursing or critical care nursing strongly preferred.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of emergency care protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices.
