Job Brief

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality, urgent medical care to patients in emergency settings. This position requires a professional who can swiftly assess patient needs, develop effective nursing care plans, and implement medical interventions. The ideal candidate must possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Experience in emergency or critical care nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ health problems and needs promptly in high-pressure situations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and medical history consistently.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
  • Provide case management services, ensuring continuity of care for patients post-discharge.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license or registration as an RN in the respective state.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience in emergency nursing or critical care nursing strongly preferred.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of emergency care protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices.
