Job Brief

The Electric Motor Rewinder is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of electric motors, wiring, and switches. This role requires a skilled technician with hands-on experience in rewinding electric motors and a solid understanding of electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electrical issues in motors and related equipment to determine necessary repairs.
  • Rewind electric motors using industry-standard techniques and tools.
  • Install and replace motor wiring, switches, and other components as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventative measures to ensure optimal motor performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance performed.
  • Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while performing tasks.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding electric motor operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electric Motor Rewinder or similar role in electrical maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of electric motor systems, wiring, and electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in motor rewinding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in an electrical environment.
