Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Measure and analyze radioactivity levels using advanced radioisotope equipment.
  • Calculate and prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials for patient administration.
  • Conduct blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies following standard laboratory protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient safety and comfort during procedures involving radiation.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from an accredited organization.
  • Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating radioisotope equipment and understanding radiation safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate measurement and assessment.
