Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Medical Transcriptionist to accurately transcribe medical reports recorded by physicians and healthcare practitioners. Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictated medical reports from various electronic devices, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Translate medical abbreviations and terminology into fully understandable text.
- Edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and clarity before final submission.
- Return completed reports in electronic or printed format for physician review and signature.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize medical transcription software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear dictations.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and transcription best practices to ensure continued professional development.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
- Proficient in using transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
