Job Brief
The Ceramic Engineer will evaluate materials and develop innovative machinery and processes to manufacture ceramic products that meet specialized design and performance specifications. Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select materials for ceramic manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for ceramic products.
- Conduct experiments and tests to determine material properties and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new applications for ceramic materials.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on material performance and project outcomes.
- Oversee the scaling of ceramic production processes from laboratory to full-scale manufacturing.
- Stay updated on advancements in materials science and ceramic engineering practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in ceramic engineering or materials engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of ceramic materials, composites, and manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools for materials design.
- Ability to perform detailed analytical testing and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Certifications in relevant engineering fields are a plus.
