Job Brief
As a Census Taker, you will play a critical role in gathering accurate and comprehensive demographic data. Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with individuals to collect demographic and statistical data.
- Utilize various methods such as telephone, mail, and in-person to reach respondents.
- Ask targeted questions to ensure comprehensive data collection.
- Record responses accurately and maintain confidentiality of respondent information.
- Assist participants in completing forms and questionnaires, providing clarity on questions as needed.
- Sort, classify, and file completed forms for efficient data processing.
- Ensure adherence to data collection protocols and guidelines.
- Resolve any discrepancies in data and follow up with respondents as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in social sciences or statistics is a plus.
- Proficiency in data collection techniques and methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with data entry software and basic computer skills.
- Experience in customer service or public engagement is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
- Must pass background checks and adhere to confidentiality agreements.
