Responsibilities
- Operate table games such as blackjack, poker, and roulette, adhering to established rules and procedures.
- Distribute cards or chips to players, ensuring accurate gameplay and adherence to house rules.
- Collect and manage players’ bets, chips, and winnings, maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Engage with players to enhance their gaming experience, providing assistance and answering questions.
- Monitor game activities for compliance with casino regulations and prevent cheating or misconduct.
- Compare house hands against players’ hands to determine winners and distribute payouts accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and organized gaming area, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by casino management to promote a positive gaming environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training in gaming preferred.
- Previous experience as a table games dealer or in a similar role within a casino setting.
- Strong knowledge of gaming rules and regulations for various table games.
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculating payouts and managing cash transactions.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact with diverse clientele.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Familiarity with gaming equipment and technology used in casinos.
