Job Brief
As an Associate Attorney, you will represent clients in both criminal and civil litigation, ensuring adherence to legal procedures while advocating effectively on their behalf. Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and other legal processes.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and contracts.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential risks associated with legal actions.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and deadlines are met.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting client cases.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to strengthen case strategies.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar licensure to practice law.
- 1-3 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in litigation.
- Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and software.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of civil and criminal law procedures.
