Job Brief
As an Animal Treatment Investigator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare of animals by investigating cases of mistreatment, abandonment, or danger. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into reports of animal mistreatment and neglect.
- Handle and assess animals safely and humanely in various environments.
- Gather evidence and document findings for potential legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and animal control agencies.
- Provide education and outreach to the community on animal welfare issues.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, outcomes, and follow-up actions.
- Testify in court or administrative hearings related to animal welfare cases.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent animal cruelty and improve community awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Proven experience in animal control, law enforcement, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Certification in animal handling and safety practices is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for investigations.
- Compassionate and ethical approach to animal treatment and care.
