Job Brief

The Airplane Refueler is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient refueling of aircraft. This role involves servicing planes with fuel, performing de-icing procedures, and maintaining essential fluid levels such as water and cooling agents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aviation fuel systems, possess relevant certifications, and demonstrate attention to detail and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Service aircraft with aviation fuel in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform de-icing procedures to ensure safe operations during adverse weather conditions.
  • Refill water and cooling agents for aircraft systems as needed.
  • Empty sewage tanks and service air and oxygen systems to maintain operational standards.
  • Clean and polish the exterior of aircraft to uphold company quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of fueling equipment and safety gear to ensure reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel transactions and service activities for compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with ground crew and pilots to ensure timely and safe aircraft servicing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in aviation maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles in an airport environment.
  • Certification in hazardous materials handling and fuel servicing is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of aviation fuel systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in aircraft servicing or a related field is a plus.
