Job Brief
The Aegis Operations Specialist is responsible for operating and monitoring critical communications, detection, and weapons systems integral to air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires a proficient understanding of military protocols, real-time decision-making, and the ability to relay vital information among air, naval, and ground forces. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and experience in emergency planning, as well as the capability to interpret tactical situations and provide actionable recommendations to superiors.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain communications systems to ensure seamless coordination between air, naval, and ground forces.
- Implement and manage emergency response plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
- Relay critical command center information to senior military and government officials accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor surveillance and detection systems, including air defense, to ensure readiness and security.
- Interpret and evaluate tactical situations, providing timely recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to support mission objectives.
- Conduct routine system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of operational equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mission planning and execution.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent military training; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in military operations, particularly in Aegis or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of military communication protocols and operational procedures.
- Technical proficiency in operating advanced surveillance and weapon systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stakes situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective information dissemination.
- Relevant certifications in military systems or operations are a plus.
