Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
  • Stay current on advancements in addiction psychiatry and treatment methodologies.
  • Educate patients and families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry, with a subspecialty in Addiction Psychiatry preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Experience in diagnosing and treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of current trends and evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
