Job Brief
We are seeking a highly qualified Addiction Psychiatrist to diagnose, treat, and help prevent mental disorders associated with substance use and addiction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in addiction medicine and psychiatry, demonstrating a deep understanding of the psychological, social, and biological factors influencing addiction. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients and their families.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
- Stay current on advancements in addiction psychiatry and treatment methodologies.
- Educate patients and families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Psychiatry, with a subspecialty in Addiction Psychiatry preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of current trends and evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
