Job Brief
The Acrobatic Rigger is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, maintenance, and repair of rigging systems used in various industries, including construction, entertainment, and maritime operations. Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain rigging systems for construction projects, theatrical performances, and event productions.
- Inspect and repair rigging equipment, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to design rigging solutions that meet project specifications.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents during rigging operations.
- Operate lifting equipment, including cranes and hoists, to position rigging apparatus safely.
- Document all rigging activities and maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Train and mentor junior riggers and crew members on safety practices and rigging techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Acrobatic Rigger or in a similar role within the entertainment, construction, or maritime industries.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with industry-standard rigging software and tools.
- Certifications in rigging and safety, such as OSHA or NCCCO, are preferred.
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
