Job Brief

The Van Loader is responsible for the efficient manual movement of freight, stock, luggage, and other materials. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform general labor tasks effectively. Ideal candidates should have experience in manual handling and demonstrate strong organizational skills to ensure timely loading and unloading operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manually load and unload materials from vans and trucks, ensuring safe handling of goods.
  • Organize and secure items within the cargo area for safe transport.
  • Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies or damages as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized loading area to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of injury during manual labor tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize loading processes and improve turnaround times.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in manual labor or warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
