Job Brief
As a Trail Construction Worker, you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of outdoor recreational paths and trails. Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain hiking, biking, and nature trails following established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery for trail excavation, grading, and surfacing.
- Assist in the installation of trail markers, signage, and erosion control measures.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of existing trails to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Collaborate with environmental specialists to minimize ecological impact during construction projects.
- Participate in volunteer and community engagement activities related to trail maintenance and development.
- Document work progress and report any issues to supervisors for resolution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in trail construction or landscaping are a plus.
- Proven experience in construction, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power equipment, and trail-building techniques.
- Basic knowledge of environmental conservation practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various work sites.
