Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, ensuring high precision in dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering specifications. Responsibilities
- Design and develop precise tooling components and dies using CAD software.
- Create detailed working diagrams, including dimensions and fastening methods.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling designs for manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and material selection to ensure high-quality production.
- Implement design modifications based on testing and feedback to improve functionality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and specifications.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in tooling and machining technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Designer or in a similar role within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and machining techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to tooling and die design.
