Job Brief
The Submarine Vertical Launch System Tube Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of advanced naval defense systems. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vertical launch systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of missiles, torpedoes, and ammunition to ensure safety and functionality.
- Operate and maintain weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain up-to-date records of equipment status.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all maintenance operations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of weapon systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in weapons systems preferred.
- Experience with submarine operations and maintenance of vertical launch systems.
- Strong understanding of missile and torpedo handling, storage, and launch procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet operational deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications in weapons maintenance or military experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
