Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products and arranging for transportation logistics.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including counts, locations, and condition of goods.
- Inspect shipments for damages and discrepancies, reporting issues to management as necessary.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to prioritize and fulfill orders efficiently.
- Utilize inventory management software to track shipments and update records in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the shipping and receiving process.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or in a related role within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and shipping logistics systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and shipping calculations.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation duties.
