Job Brief
As a Wire Welder, you will utilize hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, and brazing equipment to effectively join metal components and fill imperfections in fabricated metal products. Responsibilities
- Perform hand-welding, flame-cutting, and brazing to assemble metal products and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for accurate fabrication.
- Inspect welded joints and surfaces for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting materials as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document work processes and maintain records of materials used and hours worked.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a wire welder or in a similar metal fabrication role.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, and brazing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise welding work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.
