Job Brief
As a Wind Energy Mechanic, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair various components of wind turbine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience in renewable energy technologies, particularly in wind energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess wind turbine components for wear, damage, and performance issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions in wind turbine systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbine equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Adjust and calibrate turbine systems to meet operational specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement safety protocols and best practices.
- Respond promptly to turbine outages and emergency repair situations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to wind energy systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in wind energy technology or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Wind Energy Mechanic or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in wind turbines.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
