Job Brief
The Wax Pattern Coater is responsible for creating high-quality wax or sand cores and molds essential for metal casting production in foundries. Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply wax or sand coatings to molds and cores using industry-standard techniques.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of molds and cores by performing regular inspections and adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve molding processes and techniques.
- Maintain equipment and tools related to wax coating and mold creation to ensure optimal performance.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and production outcomes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mold defects and production inefficiencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in foundry operations is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Wax Pattern Coater or in a similar role within the foundry industry.
- Strong knowledge of molding and coating techniques, as well as materials used in the casting process.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality molds and cores.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in the foundry environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
